Through the Bible with Les Feldick
Newsletter

April - May - June 2000

Dear Friends, How we long for the day when we shall all meet and have fellowship with everyone of you for all eternity. But, until then, we get a glimpse of that through your letters. How we wish we could answer every one personally. But, since that is impossible we will communicate with you in this way. The Lord continues to bless.

We routinely hear of whole families, or nearly so, coming to know the Lord and His salvation. So many prison inmates are getting a new lease on life through our little books. We recently sent all 40 video tapes to a group in Kenya and Uganda where they are being used in the public schools. Bible studies using our tapes or books are popping up everywhere. An Air Force Chaplain stopped by some time ago to pick up more videotapes for use at bases in Europe. All because you have prayed and given.

One day when we all appear before the Bema seat, we will all have our share in the rewards. I Corinthians 3:9, ...we are laborers together with God.

We are currently working on a written schedule for our upcoming seminars which hopefully will be ready for the June-July newsletter. Obviously, we cannot accommodate every request for Les to speak, but we do make every effort to plan as many seminars and meetings as Les and Iris have the strength and time to attend. We thank you for your prayers.

A special note to our Indiana Friends. We will not be coming your way this year. We are just stretching ourselves too thin. If the Lord tarries, we will plan on holding a seminar in Indiana sometime in 2001.

SECRETARY'S NOTE: Please be sure to seal your envelopes very well before mailing them. We've had a couple of envelopes arrive unsealed and missing contents. Also, if at all possible, please do not send cash through the mail. Instead, send a check or money order. Thanks, Kim

Since we are not planning a tour to Israel in 2000, we are, by popular request, setting up a cruise to Alaska via the Inside Passage. Plans are to leave Vancouver, July 19th, 2000. We will be having a one or two hour Bible class each evening before dinner. If you are interested in this unique opportunity to see some of God's most spectacular splendor, contact us at 1-800-369-7856. We are currently out of color brochures for the cruise, but we will gladly send you a black and white copy of the brochure.

TELEVISION NOTE: Closed Captioning for the hearing impaired is mandated by the government and will cost the ministry an additional $150,000.00 to accomplish. If anyone would like to make a special offering to help us with this undertaking it would be greatly appreciated. Please make your gifts to the ministry and note the gift for "Closed Captioning."

Questions & Answers

QUESTION: What does I Timothy 4:10 mean? "For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach because we trust in the living God who is the Savior of all men, specially of those who believe.

ANSWER: This goes back to what we have said on the program over and over. When Christ finished the work of the Cross, God forgave all men all their sin. It is a done deal. He also reconciled every one to Himself. But, each individual has to appropriate that forgiveness and place of reconciliation by faith. The moment we believe it, God says you are forgiven. That is Grace!

QUESTION: Genesis 49:10, we read, "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come," Who is Shiloh?

ANSWER: Shiloh is another Old Testament term or title of Christ. In accordance with all other Scripture, the Nation of Israel will not disappear until Christ returns to the Mount of Olives. Zechariah 14:4, and His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives which is before Jerusalem on the east. Compare with Acts 1:11 - "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into Heaven.

QUESTION: In the light of Isaiah 65:17, do you think we will know each other in Heaven?

ANSWER: I would say yes based on II Samuel 12:23, where King David is mourning over the dead child born of his adultery with Bathsheba. He finally consoled himself with, "But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me." Also, on the mount of transfiguration, Matthew 17:1-4, Peter, James and John immediately recognized Moses and Elijah.

QUESTION: Then what about loved ones who are not there?

ANSWER: I am sure our memories of them will be erased. It will be as if we never knew them. Otherwise, Heaven would be a place of intense sorrow. And it will not be.

QUESTION: For whom was Matthew 24 written?

ANSWER: Matthew 24 was spoken by the Lord Himself to the 12 as representatives of Israel. Consequently, Matthew 24 is all tribulation. Now that the Jews are back in the land, we can see everything being prepared for the final seven years of Daniel's prophecy -Daniel 9:27.

Letters From Our Friends

I tune in regularly and am so thankful for your years of dedication and the Lord's faithfulness in revealing His Word through you to the listening public. I am also so thankful that you have chosen to stay with the KJV. Though I appreciate the perspective other versions offer to any given passage, I prefer to read the same words over and over in the KJV. It lends a sense of stability and continuity while reinforcing the words that have been familiar to my ears for years. I realize that some other versions may be considered more accurate or easier to understand, but I find so many alternatives contribute to diluting of the power of The Word. Something that made me wonder if so many styles are a blessing or a curse to the world. Your TV set is a very effective format for your style of teaching, intimate and reminiscent of a small campus class. I also like that you really pack a lot of information into each half hour. Shir, MN

I am enjoying your program on TV over the Sky Angel dish network. I like your style of teaching very much -you get to the 'meat' of the Word. I like your understated style, not glitzy, no hip gimmicks, just the Word of God. Thank you very much. I am learning a lot. Wallace, AZ

Friends asked us during a visit one day if we had heard of Les Feldick. I had not and I was in the process of studying my Bible and basically reading through it. Like you've said many times, we read the Book, but don't understand. And when we don't understand, we usually just skip over that and go on - not really learning anything. These friends had been watching and taping your programs from their satellite dish for some time. Just to let me know what I was missing they bought me a tape with 12 of your programs on it. I didn't look at the tape at first. I thought that I had too many books and papers to read. I just put it off for a week or two. Then one night, I decided I would see what Les Feldick was like. Praise the Lord. You might say I was hooked. Les, I am 70 years old and accepted Christ as my savior when I was 19. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. So many things I don't want to bore you with now, but I had been warm and cold toward the Bible and my faith in Jesus. Several years ago, I started reading through the Bible. I think I completed the whole thing 6 times. During the past 3-4 months, I have learned more about the Book from you than I did during my six trips and several years through the words of the Scripture by myself. Parker, TX

What In The World

II Timothy 3:1-13, 4:1-4 - The Apostle Paul wrote these words indicating a future from his point in time. But, now it is no longer "perilous times will come," - they are upon us. Political and religious liberals are shouting down all the fundamental basics of Christianity and our Constitutional form of government. We certainly cannot reverse it. But, our Lord does expect us to stand in the gap and hold back these forces of evil. This was Paul's admonition to Timothy in I Timothy 1:7-10.

Other information: The ministry is now offering a new 28 minute video that includes a combination of a 12 minute Documentary of the Les Feldick Ministries along with Paul's Gospel of Salvation. The newsletters that are sent to reader's by regular mail always contain the upcoming seminar schedule, the TV and radio schedule, the class schedule, and the ministry's contact information. But on this web site, all of this information is kept current on their own pages at these four links. To avoid confusion, the older information that is less up to date has been removed from the newsletters that are placed on-line.
